Karl, that's not fair! I was not in a stable mind in those days.
Yes, it was a sensual experiencef or me when I was being tattooed, I admit that. And i sat there patiently for many hours. I thought it was fantastic of me to have the guts for tha. But now, I am very sorry that those bastards did that to me !!
They knew very well, that I would be sorry !!!

Awesome post. I love your comments about his various strange poses. Somehow I missed those during the big game. I must have been eating a chip or ripping the bottle cap from a blue bottle of beer.

Personally I still haven't forgiven the Patriots for the way they dumped Drew Bledsoe.

, it's ibinedcrly emotionally draining. I don't think I've ever read a book that affected me in quite the same way as this one. I am recommending it to anyone, I think from so many angles it is an invaluable experience. I love how much Ilsa has taken this girl under her wing, letting herself be used, to some degree, because her inactivity, and then later her activity, is truly helping someone. I love that she cares so much, and so quietly. And it's gone both ways-I think Liesel has helped her out of her shell…we see it here with the great moment of wry humor-door or window? I also thought that Liesel was effectively finished with her book, and was basically in the editing/read through process. And I agree with several other commenters, in the language of The Book Thief and the way Liesel writes, and how she writes about words, I think we are seeing a lot of Zusak.

There’s an ienhrnet value and poeticism to finding out the intricate decisions, actions, and behaviors that deliver each of us to our respective futures. It’s not about destiny, because that suggests so much lack of agency. It’s about the causal nature of things, how different paths can converge at one point, and it’s the details of the journey that give us the necessary insight to understand it all. This time through, as I approached the end in all its inevitability, everything converging, I was reminded of A Prayer for Owen Meany.
